Bookstores? and Bars? Book yeah! Let's Go!

Saturday, May 2, 2026, we are jumping on the Big Red Bus and hitting the local Peoria Metro area! We'll leave from the Peoria Book Rack parking lot after 9 am.

We'll leave the parking lot by no later than 9:30 am and head to Pekin, Illinois to visit the adorable bookstore that supports local cat adoptions, Tails of a Bookworm. From there we will head to Creve Coeur/East Peoria to Whitey's BBQ at Crusen's where you can choose to sit in their nice outdoor patio area or inside. Grab some lunch, a few drinks and enjoy a great conversation with other book lovers.

We have 40 spaces available - $50 per spot. This includes the bus ride to and from all spots and back to the PBR parking lot around 6 pm that night. Everyone receives a free goodie bag, we'll be doing raffles for FREE prizes (we usually do 1-2 between each stop), and a Bookshop Passport that one lucky person will win a basket full of bookish fun!

We'll also have bottled water on the bus! You may bring a small cooler with alcoholic beverages on the bus, as well as snacks, etc!
